CTH is Looking for Chimney Mechanics

CTH is looking for chimney mechanics. Yes, that is hardly a job that anyone is already trained for. Every new hire, regardless of position, has an equal opportunity to earn the same rate as our owners. That is right, we expect the receptionist to be as knowledgeable about chimneys as the guy laying the bricks, as the guy installing the gas fireplace, and as the guy doing the inspections. This is made possible through our merit increase program.

We are accepting applications for the following positions:

Chimney Sweep
Assist in performing inspections and sweeps. Use various tech such as video scanning, portable computers, and other test equipment to ensure client’s chimneys are operable with acceptable risk. Drive company vehicles and transport materials to job sites. From time to time assist with appliance installations. We expect to hire two people for this position by July 2022.

Receiver / Receptionist
Order materials for jobs. Accept and check in materials. Distribute materials to job sites. Assess client needs and schedule in home visits for finding and implementing solutions. This position is the vanguard for client satisfaction. We expect to hire one person for this position by September 2022.

Hearth Appliance installer
Mechanically inclined people are wanted for this position which is responsible for the safe installation of combustion appliance such as gas logs set, gas, pellet, and wood burning stove, fireplaces and inserts. This position includes installing chimney liners and masonry repairs. We expect to hire two people for this position by June 2023.
